

Mr. Driver was born in Clewiston, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, cum laude, in accounting from the University of Montevallo in 1989. He also received his master of accounting degree, with honors, and his Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida in 1994. Mr. Driver was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995 and is currently rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Driver focuses on corporate law, securities, mergers and acquisitions, business law, contracts and venture capital.
Mr. Driver is one of the founding partners of the Firm. Following law school, Mr. Driver was an associate attorney in the corporate department of Foley & Lardner LLP. While with Foley & Lardner, Mr. Driver’s practice included representing buyers and sellers in business acquisitions and dispositions by asset and stock purchase and the ongoing counseling of businesses regarding corporate governance, contracts, business formation and day-to-day legal matters. After leaving Foley & Lardner, Mr. Driver served as General Counsel and Project Manager for Thomas-Pierce & Company, an international consulting and brokerage firm specializing in rapidly consolidating industries, including funeral homes and cemeteries. While with Thomas-Pierce & Company, Mr. Driver’s legal duties included negotiating and structuring acquisition and merger transactions with public and private companies, reviewing all legal documents, consulting with client advisors regarding tax and estate planning issues, and managing outside counsel in various litigation matters. Mr. Driver also was involved in the business valuation and cash flow analysis aspects of businesses targeted for acquisition. Mr. Driver later joined Holland & Knight, LLP, where he was named as a partner in the business law department. While with Holland & Knight, Mr. Driver practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, venture capital finance, securities law and general corporate law. Mr. Driver counseled publicly owned and privately held businesses in a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, venture capital financing, public offerings, private placements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, employment agreements, and various other general corporate and transactional matters. In April of 2002, Mr. Driver left Holland & Knight and formed Driver, McAfee, Griggs & Peek, P.L.
During his career, Mr. Driver has served as a trustee for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association, a member of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association (including serving as President and Treasurer), a member of the Board of Directors of Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of Tree Hill, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Young Enthusiasts in Support of the Symphony, and in various other capacities for community-oriented and not-for-profit entities. Mr. Driver also has served as a member of the Board of Managers of SFS Holdings, LLC, a member of the Board of Managers of the DMGP Holdings, LLC, as Secretary for Arboris, LLC, and as a board member for several other for-profit businesses. Mr. Driver also has participated in the Leadership Jacksonville program as a member of the Class of 2007, and he was named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.Email: G.
